Perrie Keeve - Campus Minister, Columbia Church of Christ 

Perrie became a Christian as a teenager in Columbia, SC. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and got married in 2013. He and his wife help lead the college ministry in Columbia, South Carolina and desire to help other students to know God intimately and to make Him known to others. They love music, traveling, making memories and laughing together.

Let My People Go (Main Keynote Speaker # 1)

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

When Moses encountered the burning bush, he was a sinful and insecure person, like many of us. But once he heard the voice of God he was transformed into a man that was destined to change the world. We too can hear God’s voice and be transformed, rescued from the chains that hold us back. Once we do, God will use us to do incredible things.

Brian Campbell - Evangelist, Denver Church of Christ 

Brian has been leading campus ministries in Denver for the last 11 years and overseeing the campus work in the Rocky Mountain Region for the last 3 years.  He has seen the campus in Denver go from a handful of students when he was a young christian to over 100 presently. He completed his MA in Bible and Theology in 2015 from Lincoln Christian University and is very passionate about deep engaging Bible teaching. Brian and his wife Kristina have traveled the world together teaching and building up campus ministries in South East Asia, Southern Africa, and Scandinavia. Brian and his wife love the outdoors, sports, and living life to the fullest.

Michael has led the campus ministry in Cincinnati since 2007. He married Angela in 2011, and they now have 3 kids. After ICMC, he and his family will be moving on to Denver to lead the Youth and Family ministry.

Alexandra Ghoman - Women's Ministry Leader, Boston Church of Christ  

Alexandra Ghoman became a disciple 16 years ago as a teenager in Cary, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) with degrees in Journalism and Fashion Merchandising in 2010. She became a New Englander in 2012 when she married her Boston-bred husband, Jesse. Together, they now lead the campus ministry in downtown Boston where they are raising their daughter, Rosie and their unruly bulldog, Huck.

Leke Lewu - Campus Minister, South Florida Church of Christ 

Leke Lewu is a minister in Miami. He moved to Miami to work for the ministry and finish his two bachelors’ degrees in Sociology and Portuguese. Leke loves basketball, Lebron “The Goat” James, Chipotle, FIFA, reading, long walks on the beach (jk), & has been encouraged and excited to be in Miami as he has had dreams of going to the mission field to Brazil.

Jacob Bartlow - Evangelist, Youth & Family and Campus Ministry, DFW Church of Christ  

Jacob serves as an Evangelist in both the Youth & Family and Campus Ministry in the DFW Church of Christ. He was baptized in 2002 as a High School Freshman in the DFW Church Teen Ministry. He has been married to his wife Jenelle since September, 2011, and has been serving on the DFW Church Staff since 2012. They are currently expecting their first child, a little girl, to be born in September of this year!

Esteban Rodriguez - Campus Minister, San Antonio Church of Christ 

Esteban Rodriguez has been married to Amber for just over two years. He has been in the ministry for over four years and has led ministries UTSA in San Antonio and Texas A&M in College Station. He is currently leading the Northeast region of the San Antonio Church in San Marcos, Texas, which includes Texas State University.

Tommy Thang - Campus Minister, The Greater Houston Church 

Tommy and Jessica Thang were married in 2009. They have two young boys, Titus(6) and Jesiah(3). Tommy is originally from Houston and became a Christian in the University of Houston campus ministry in 2001. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and a Minor in Human Nutrition. And moved to Southern California in 2005 for a summer internship where he was trained for the full-time ministry. Tommy was soon appointed evangelist in the LA church in 2012 and is currently leading the campus ministry in Houston Texas.

Stuart and Ashley have been in the ministry for the last nine years serving the campus ministries all over the Los Angeles area while focusing in the Inland Empire region. They have two kids, Elle is 5 years old and her son, Caden is 2 years old. They love working in the campus ministry and look forward to doing so for many years.

Neville McKinnie - Resource Intervention Specialist, Minneapolis Public Schools 

Neville McKinnie is a elementary educator in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has served in the ministry in various campus, singles, and yo-pro ministries in both Minneapolis and Lansing, Michigan. Neville has also trained for five years under Michael Burns' Inner Action Teaching Ministry and Crossing the Line Ministries as well as serving as a small group facilitator for Crossing the Line.

Bri was converted at University of California Riverside 8 years ago and serves alongside her husband. They have been married for almost 5 years and love life.

The "me culture" has dominated our society for many years now but is showing itself in more prominent forms since the rise of social media. In this class we will take a modern look at this ideology that has become apart of our culture and see how as disciples we can use the scriptures to combat this toxic thinking. The goal of this class is for disciples to walk away feeling motivated to fix their eyes on Jesus and the mission instead of themselves.

Brian Dailey - Campus Minister, The Palouse Church of Christ 

Brian Dailey was baptized in Christ in the Seattle COC in 2003, trained in campus ministry by Vince Hawkins while attending the University of Missouri 2003-08. Got married to Katie Dailey in Columbia, MO before traveling to Israel where they lived for a year going on Bible tours and playing basketball professionally. Brian & Katie lead the mission team to Pullman, WA in 2015 where they now shepherd a thriving campus ministry and live with their kids (Luca 6, Ella 4).

Freedom in Christ, Grace. We ought to live as free people but not use our freedom to indulge in flesh. In this class we will explore the sometimes exciting freedoms and difficult choices we make on a daily basis as disciples of Christ. We will learn from the first century disciples in their struggles and victories as well as look at long term benefits and effects of our current convictions as campus students. Lastly, we will delve into how we should best treat the grace we receive along the way as we run our races for Christ.

Nick became a Christian in the teen ministry in Northern Virginia and was apart of the campus ministry at Virginia Tech. Josie became a Christian in college and graduated from the University of Kansas. The couple met and were married in San Antonio, Texas where they now lead the campus ministry. Nick loves the outdoors and has recently discovered a love for disc golf. Josie is a creative dreamer who loves design and thinking outside the box.

Ross and Samantha Sawyer lead the campus ministries in the Indianapolis Church of Christ. Passion for the campus ministry brought them together and they've been married for four years. Ross is finishing up a Masters degree in Theology from Harding University.

Marty and Daonna Wilkinson have led the church in College Station, Texas since 2012. Prior to that they began their time in the ministry in San Antonio, TX in 2004 working with campus and teen ministry. They have stayed closely connected with campus throughout the years. The Wilkinsons feel honored to serve in the ministry and have enjoyed every stage. They were married in 2002 and have three daughters.

Jamison Malcolm - Evangelist, The Nittany Church 

Jamison Malcolm was converted at the University of Georgia in 2002 and has been fully engaged with Campus Ministry ever since. Jamison met his wife Lauren at UGA and they were married in 2008. They have three children (Rory- 4, Luke- 2, Jordan- 2 months) and serve as Evangelist and Women's Minster at the Nittany Church at Penn State University. The Malcolms are members of the ICOC Campus Service Team, have led HOPE Youth Corps in Philadelphia for 10 years and Jamison recently completed his Master's Degree in Applied Youth, Family and Community Education at Penn State University.

When it comes to Special Missions, Contribution, Benevolence -- basically anything in the Kingdom that involves the output of money, it is safe to say that young people are the last demographic in the church that anyone expects to be able to give. Though there are many circumstances that enable this mentality, this does not have to be the case! With many stories of benevolent and faithful young people, we will look to broaden the capacity for impact in campus students to give with discipline, consistency, vision, and conviction! Bio: Nick Shoff, recently married to his wife Brie, serves the campus ministry at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia and is also the founder of JamQuest, a charity that raises up young leaders to serve kids in need around the world.

Noah Mata - Campus Minister, Montgomery County Church of Christ

Noah Mata along with his wife Patty Mata, recently began leading the Montgomery County Campus Ministries in Maryland & Washington D.C. (as well as recently tied the knot!) . Noah is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, where he served Full-Time in the Youth & Family Ministry and directed Camp Hope for Kids for 3 years.  Noah has a passion for the marginalized and disenfranchised; as well as helping "broke" young people find the resources they need to help those who are deprived of those resources!

 Timothy Sumerlin - Director, In Motion Counseling

Dr. Timothy Sumerlin and his wife, Jackie, live in Denver, Colorado and have two children who currently serve on a mission church in China. He is the director of In Motion Counseling, which includes the Disciples In Motion and The Grief Journey: Finding Peace in All of Life’s Losses Program.

Breaking Every Chain: Coping with Anxiety & Depression with Friends Who Help. God understands anxiety and depression and is not surprised or impatient by those of us with these diagnoses. This class will address a biblical approach to dealing with anxiety and depression and will include coping strategies. Also, Dr. Sumerlin will explain how to be a compassionate and effective friend who helps the anxious and depressed.

Kurt Flinchbaugh and his wife Christina have led the Campus Ministry in Philadelphia for the past 5 years and will be moving to The Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania this summer to plant the Lehigh Valley Church of Christ. Kurt became a disciple his sophomore year of college in 2010 and began dreaming and praying about planting a church in the Lehigh Valley 7 years ago at his first ICMC.

Davion Hambrick - Campus Minister, Columbia Church of Christ

Davion Hambrick was converted in the campus ministry at the University of North Texas in 2010. During his time in campus ministry, he felt called to go into the full time ministry and he developed a passion to spread the gospel to college students. After graduating, he decided to join a mission team to plant a campus ministry at the University of Oklahoma. After serving in the Oklahoma City Church for one year, God opened the door for him to be trained in the full time ministry and he moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2016, where he is now being trained as the Campus Minister at the University of Missouri.

“For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.” (1 Thessalonians 1:4-5). Deep and unbreakable convictions do not fluctuate based on circumstances, opinions, emotions, age, sex/gender, race or what is happening in day-to-day life. Deep and unbreakable convictions are the consuming motivation that cannot be taken away. The conviction-less person is “unstable in all they do.” (James 1:8). People without deep convictions are indecisive and constantly second-guessing themselves. Come and find the appropriate heart motivation to develop and strengthen deep and unbreakable convictions.

Vince Hawkins has served as the lead-evangelist of the Columbia Church of Christ in Columbia, Missouri for the past 15 years. He has been married to his wife Robin for 24 years and they have four wonderful daughters. As a couple, the Hawkins are consumed with passion for discovering, training and sending out young leaders to serve God. Over his 24 years as a disciple, He has been blessed to be mentored by over ten evangelists in God’s Kingdom. With nearly 20 years of ministry experience, most with campus ministry, Vince Hawkins remains a man of deep and unbreakable convictions about the Lord, His Kingdom, and His work that lies ahead for disciples of Christ.

She loves getting to continue to minister at the very school where she herself made Jesus Lord and also graduated.

Angela DeAquino became a disciple in 2006 and shortly after attended the University of Cincinnati. In 2011 she married Michael DeAquino and joined him in serving the campus ministry in 2012. Jesse Ghoman is an evangelist in the Boston Church of Christ and has led the campus ministry in downtown Boston for the last 5 years. He works with Harvard, MIT, Boston College, Boston University, Tufts, Northeastern University and many more. His serves alongside his wife Alexandra and the two have a beautiful baby girl, Rosie.

 Doug Lambert - Evangelist, Cincinnati Church of Christ

Doug Lambert has served in the full-time ministry for 37 years in 3 countries and 10 churches.  He and his wife Jennifer currently lead the Cincinnati Church and oversee the 9 Ohio Valley Churches in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.  Doug and Jennifer have been married almost 30 years and have raised two children while in the full-time ministry.  Their children are now married disciples, one leading the church in Madrid, Spain.  Doug and his Jennifer have trained and discipled many young married couples with small children in the campus ministry.

Doing All Things Well

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

You can be successful in the ministry and have a great marriage and family. It is a lifestyle that all works together to bring glory to God by leading your wife and children to heaven while also have the maximum impact in the ministry. Not a compartmentalized life but rather one that is complementary and balanced. The class will look at Biblical principles with lots of practical’s that have been taught and modeled by Doug and that he and his wife have implemented and passed on to others.

Matthew Fisk - Evangelist & Campus Minister, Hampton Roads Church 

Matt and his stunningly gorgeous wife serve in the campus ministry in Hampton Roads, VA. In that time Matt has trained over 120 interns through the Hampton Roads Summer Internship and has trained/sent over 25 people into various roles in the ministry. He loves training people so much, that he and Katy adopted a crazy dog named Josh, just so they could be training something at all times — he probably needs professional help.

Jesus’ plan to save the word was training 12 men to train others. This class will give both general and practical approaches to train people to train others just as the great commission tells us to do.

Jennifer Lambert has served in the full-time ministry for 31 years in three countries and eight churches.  She and Doug raised two children while in the full-time ministry, Will and Victoria.  Will Lambert and his wife Kristen now lead the church in Madrid, Spain; and Victoria Henry and her husband Adam are active disciples in the Greater Nashville Church.  Jennifer is the co-editor of A Women’s Ministry Handbook and she is passionate about passing on God’s teaching and training.

Kelly Brown - Senior Ministry Leader, North River Church of Christ 

Kelly Brown was converted as a Sophomore at the University of Florida in 1971. Kelly and Tom married in 1975 and moved to Boulder, Colorado to plant a dynamic campus ministry at the University of Colorado where she saw over 100 CU girls get baptized in 3 1/2 years. Kelly has a passion to inspire young women to train for the ministry and send them out to strengthen other churches.  She has been able to see that dream come to fruition in sending Makenzie Albert to Nashville with her husband, Kendall, Alyssa Cruz and her husband to Knoxville, and Cortney and Tom McGuirk to Paris, France. Kelly has been married 42 years, has 2 children and 2 precious grandchildren. She plans on investing in the next generation for years to come.

When it comes to Special Missions, Contribution, Benevolence -- basically anything in the Kingdom that involves the output of money, it is safe to say that young people are the last demographic in the church that anyone expects to be able to give. Though there are many circumstances that enable this mentality, this does not have to be the case! With many stories of benevolent and faithful young people, we will look to broaden the capacity for impact in campus students to give with discipline, consistency, vision, and conviction! Bio: Nick Shoff, recently married to his wife Brie, serves the campus ministry at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia and is also the founder of JamQuest, a charity that raises up young leaders to serve kids in need around the world.
